  2. ScanEasy for HP

  7. ScanEasy for HP is an Adobe Acquire 3.0 format plug-in which provides 
  8. direct support for HP ScanJets with applications such as Adobe Photoshop 
  9. 3.0. It will coexist with HP's DeskScan II TWAIN software but can be used 
  10. as a replacement for this. It supports most of DeskScan's features and
  11. has a modern interface specifically designed for greater ease of use and
  12. efficiency. It also exploits more of your ScanJet's features, including
  13. 10-bit grayscale and 30-bit color scans (on current models).

  15. To install ScanEasy for HP, simply copy the following files to your plug-in
  16. directory:

  18.     SCANEASY.8BA
  19.     SCANEASY.HLP
  20.     SCANEASY.CNT
  21.  
  22. and restart the host application. Select ScanEasy for HP from the File->
  23. Acquire menu. For general help, click the Help button. For specific help, 
  24. click the question mark at the top right of the window and drop this on any 
  25. item displayed.

  27. The above installation assumes you already have DeskScan II installed and 
  28. working. If not, see the online help for more information (you can also
  29. double-click the SCANEASY.HLP file if the plug-in isn't running).

  31. ScanEasy for HP has been tested with HP ScanJet models IIcx and 3c/4c using
  32. Adobe Photoshop 3.0.5 on Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 (beta 2).

  34. This copy of ScanEasy for HP provides a time limited but full-function
  35. demonstration of the software. Settings and preferences will, however, not
  36. be saved until the software is registered. See the online help for
  37. information on registration and pricing.

  40. online help prior to using the software.
